Wednesday, September 13 - Land in London

The improvement of spending a night in London was added in time, and the plan became perfect as plan could be. - Pride and Prejudice

My first English breakfast for this trip

Mom had crepes

Engine by Rolls Royce. Fancy

We landed in Heathrow at Noon, and zoomed through both Immigration and Customs because of Mom's convenient wheelchair.  We were both relieved to see that our check-on luggage had arrived.

First wheelchair ride was actually a wheelchair train :-)

We took an Uber to the Tower Hotel

Picked up Mom's wheelchair at front desk
Wheel Freedom - wheelchair rental Tel: 0800 025 8005

Seriously cool money

We walked to Emilia’s Italian Restaurant on St. Katharine’s Docks behind our hotel and ate delicious pasta outside near the boats and flowers.

Nothing screams "I'm a tourist!"
louder than posing by a
red phone booth haha

Our hotel

Mom couldn't get enough of these vibrant hanging pots.
There are dozens of them along the wharf.

Emilia's Italian. Their homemade pasta is 10/10

Outdoor dinner at Emilia's

We're kinda digging this bridge

Fountain statue by the Thames right in front of our hotel

Tesco Express is right by our hotel so we bought water bottles, snacks, stamps, and most importantly--- Maltesers!

I'm home again

Who could ever tire of seeing this when they walk out their front door?

Repeat of last night.  Laurel drove us to the airport at 11:30.  We boarded a Delta flight to LAX.  Then spent a short time at the airport and took a Virgin Atlantic flight to London.  268 passengers.  Boeing 787.

England, here we come!
